The SL9 variety is a unique coffee variety developed in India, known for its resilience and distinctive flavour profile. Originating from selections made by the Coffee Board of India, SL9 is a hybrid of the Kent variety and another robust parent, designed to thrive in Indian growing conditions. This variety is prized for its balanced cup profile, often exhibiting notes of chocolate, spice, and subtle fruitiness, making it a favourite among specialty coffee enthusiasts. Grown at higher elevations the SL9 coffee varietal is known for it's dense structure, contributing to a rich and complex taste.
