The Groundd xpress lets you brew a proper coffee or tea and drink it from the same cup. It brews like a French press but with one important difference, when you press the plunger down, the extraction stops. Your coffee won’t keep getting stronger and more bitter as it sits, so the last sip tastes just like the first.
Designed in Margaret River, WA, the xpress won a 2026 Australian Good Design Award and took Silver and Editor’s Choice at the Clean + Conscious Awards 2026.
How the GROUNDD Xpress Stands Out
A Plunger That Stops the Brew
In a standard French press, coffee keeps sitting on the grounds after you plunge, so it continues to extract. The xpress plunger seals tightly against the glass wall and uses two opposing valves to separate your coffee from the spent grounds. Press down when it tastes right and the strength you chose is locked in.
Keeps Your Coffee Hotter for Longer
Because the plunger and grounds stay at the base of the cup, your coffee isn’t poured off into a separate, cooler vessel. It stays in the cup it was brewed in, so it holds its heat for longer.
Thick, Hand-Blown Borosilicate Glass
The cup is hand-blown from lead-free borosilicate glass, the same heat-resistant glass used in lab equipment. GROUNDD has made it thicker than standard for added durability, and a walnut sleeve gives you a comfortable grip when the cup is hot.
Brew, Drink or Take It With You
Drink straight from the glass at home, or twist the 360° lid a quarter turn to seal it and take it with you. The cup is roughly the diameter of a drink can, so it fits most car cup holders.
Built to Be Repaired
Every part of the xpress can be individually replaced, from the seals and valves to the filter and glass. Groundd prioritise having their products built to last but in the event that a part breaks over time or is lost it can easily be swapped out.

TRAVEL COFFEE PRESS
Travel Coffee PressA good travel coffee press is lightweight, versatile in the coffees it makes, is easy to clean and requires minimal maintenance / upkeep.
We recommend a coffee press that is mainly built around plastic components as this is durable enough for the outdoors yet doesn't weigh a ton.
Titanium coffee equipment is another great option if it's within your budget! -

TRAVEL COFFEE MAKING TIPS
-
WHAT REALLY MATTERS
Learn MoreWhe making coffee on the go you need something lightweight, compact and easy to carry. Making espresso or filter coffee can be done but usually requires more stuff to carry compared to an independant coffee press system like the AeroPress or Wacaco Prestina.
-
WHAT YOU DON'T NEED TO BRING
Learn MoreThe best thing to first figure out before buying any travel coffee gear is deciding on what not to bring. Be super selective with what you don't have to bring, if you're just doing a day trip you probably don't need to bring along a grinder on most occasions. Grinding fresh does make a difference but is it worth 1 coffee? Probablly not.

TRAVEL LIGHT
Titanium Coffee GearWhen weight matters but you don't want to give up on good coffee our range of Titanium Travel Coffee Gear comes in handy.
Titanium is strong, durable, lightweight and completly innert so your coffee doesn't get any strong 'metalic' tastes in the cup. -
WHERE TO START?
Contact usThe first place we recommend starting is to work out what types of coffee you are trying to make, write this down along with your constraints, do you need it to be lightweight? are you going to be flying with it? will you have access to hot water? are you going to bring a coffee grinder or coffee grounds?
This then points you in the right direction, still need help answer these questions and send them to us! We're always happy to help :)
