The Orea V4 Narrow stays true to the classic Orea brewing style, offering a 73° geometry that closely resembles the V3 & V2. This design emphasises high clarity, bright acidity, and faster drawdowns, making it perfect for those who love a crisp, clean cup of coffee. With a modular bottom system, you get access to four different brewing styles, all in one compact and beautifully designed brewer.

A System That Evolves With You

Like its Wide counterpart, the V4 Narrow is fully modular, featuring a high-mounted connection that allows for significant changes in flow rate and extraction dynamics. Whether you prefer a structured and controlled flow or want to push the limits of speed and grind size, this brewer gives you the flexibility to explore new dimensions in coffee brewing.

The Classic 73° Narrow Geometry

The V4 Narrow carries forward the classic Orea geometry, keeping a tighter brewing chamber for faster extractions and a more intense flavour profile. It’s ideal for those who prioritise brightness and acidity, without sacrificing control over brewing variables. With a slightly smaller capacity, it’s best suited for brews up to 28g of coffee (2 small cups).

Interchangeable Brewing Bottoms

The Orea V4 Narrow comes with four different bottom plates to refine your brewing experience:

  • Classic Bottom – Modelled after the V3 MK2 for a consistent and balanced extraction.
  • Open Bottom – Enhances flow control by directing extraction toward the centre.
  • Fast Bottom – The quickest draining bottom, perfect for fine grinds and high-clarity brews.
  • APEX Bottom – A unique hybrid between conical and flat-bottom brewing, offering a new approach to extraction

APEX Brewing – A New Hybrid Method

The APEX bottom introduces a fresh brewing technique that combines aspects of flat-bed and conical brewing. It allows for the use of both flat and conical filters, creating a new way to manipulate flow rate and extraction dynamics. For those who love to experiment, the Negotiator tool can be used to fine-tune the shape of the APEX cone, opening up a world of brewing possibilities.

Performance & Brew Style

  • Flow Rate: The V4 Narrow drains about 30 seconds faster than the Wide version under the same conditions.
  • Taste Profile: Expect a cleaner, brighter, and more intense cup with enhanced acidity.
  • Capacity: Best suited for brews up to 28g of coffee, making it perfect for 1-2 cup brewing.

Why Choose the Orea V4 Narrow?

  • A classic 73° geometry for bright, high-clarity extractions.
  • Four interchangeable bottoms for customised brewing styles.
  • Works with flat filters and conical filters (with folding guide).
  • Sturdy, high-quality materials: BPA-free high-impact polypropylene & stainless steel base.
  • A modular system designed to adapt and evolve over time.

  • POUR OVER RATIO

Generally Pour Over and Filter Coffee have a water to coffee ratio of 1:15.
Although it is important to know that some coffee tastes better at a lower or higher ratio and that numbers are just a guide.

  • POUR OVER BREW TIME

Depending on a range of different factors your pour over coffee might be really quick and only last 1 minute or can last up to 10 minutes. Most pour overs generally take around 2-4 minutes and consistently long pour overs may be a result of stalling.

  • WATER FOR POUR OVER COFFEE

The hotter your water is the higher amount of extraction will occur. Put simply, this is all you need to know but when it comes down to dialling-in your coffee you can change your water temperature to change the flavour of your coffee.

  • BREW METHODS

The method, technique and overall recipe you use to brew your pour over coffee is known as your 'Brew Method'.
Depending on how many pours your use, the level of agitation when pouring and the brewing equipment you use will all determin how your coffee will taste.

  • COFFEE GRINDER

As soon as you grind your coffee beans they start to age and loose freshness, it's vital you grind your coffee fresh right before brewing pour over coffee.

Not all coffee grinders are built the same, some prioritise budget, portability, grind quality and some are even designed just for filter brewing or espresso brew methods.
Choosing a high quality coffee grinder will have a huge impact on how your coffee ends up tasting.

    Coffee Grinders
  • COFFEE DRIPPER

To make pour over coffee you will need a coffee dripper, this holds the coffee filter and grounds in place and sits ontop of a server or cup.
Coffee drippers come in a huge variety of materials, shapes and sizes all making impacts on how your coffee is brewed and how it tastes.
