Orea Wave Filters
Orea Wave Filters
Share
Theses filters are Orea's take on the Kalita Wave paper filters that their brewers were designed to use initially.
With similar brew times but much cleaner, more transparent results. A premium paper stock from Japan is the basis of our new wave-shaped paper.
How do they taste?
The paper construction is quite thick but also porous, which helps improve performance when brewing compared to alternatives. Orea didn't like this paper in a flat format, but loved it when constructed in a wave shape - where its properties shine the best.
In the cup, you will taste superior clarity with no papery taste (especially when pre wetting your filters).
Plug & play
This is the easiest way to use the Orea range of products, simply drop the filter in and pre wet before adding your dose of coffee and brewing. No folding or Orea Negotiator needed when using these.
Compatible with all except the Big Boy
This paper is suitable to be used in the V3, V3 MK2, Glass Series OPEN, V4 Narrow & V4 Wide. The only coffee brewer this paper is not compatible with in the Orea range is the Big Boy, which has its own wave-shaped filter.
One size (185)
OREA make this filter in what resembles the Large / 185 size. These paper filters would be compatible with any brewer that works with the Kalita Wave 185 filters as this shape and size is the same. This includes the Origami Drippers, Orea V3 Brewer, Kalita Wave, among other brewers that use the 185 kalita wave size filters.

Some coffee filters are made from paper, cloth, metal and even banana fibres.
The shape, thickness, material and hole size all result in a different flow rate and final taste.
