A manual coffee brewer that strips the process back to its simplest form, the Wacaco Prestina replaces the traditional plunger with the cup itself. Add coffee, pour hot water, stir, wait one minute, then press straight into the cup you're already holding. No paper filters, no batteries, no extra parts to lose.
Prestina uses a patented cup-driven pressing system. During the one-minute infusion, an integrated duck valve holds water inside the brewing chamber so the coffee can develop flavour before extraction starts. As you press, the valve opens gradually and lets the coffee flow through into the cup below. The result sits somewhere between a French press and a pour over: more body than a pour-over, less sediment than a French press.

A permanent stainless steel filter means you're not relying on paper, so the coffee's natural oils carry through into the cup. With only a handful of core parts and wide openings throughout, filling, cleaning and reassembly are quick, which makes it easier to use day to day rather than just for occasional travel.

TRAVEL COFFEE PRESS
Travel Coffee PressA good travel coffee press is lightweight, versatile in the coffees it makes, is easy to clean and requires minimal maintenance / upkeep.
We recommend a coffee press that is mainly built around plastic components as this is durable enough for the outdoors yet doesn't weigh a ton.
Titanium coffee equipment is another great option if it's within your budget! -
TRAVEL COFFEE GRINDER
Coffee GrindersAs soon as you grind your coffee beans they start to age and loose freshness, it's vital you grind your coffee fresh right before brewing pour over coffee.
When brewing coffee in the outdoors, in the office or on the go you want something lightweight and precise. We love the Comandante C40 grinders and the Solright DB-1 Grinders for this very reason!

TRAVEL COFFEE CASES
Travel Coffee CaseBring your coffee gear with you wherever you go, with a coffee travel case you don't have to worry about your gear breaking!
The Basal Filter Coffee Travel Case has compartmentalised the interior of their case making it easy to organise and quickly access your gear.
Don't be fooled, this case can fit a lot more than you may think! -
TRAVEL COFFEE BREWERS
Travel Coffee DrippersWe recommend you consider how you plan on brewing coffee first and foremost, while many fantasive about brewing pour over coffee in the bush it isn't always practical. With coffee press's being a better alternative without giving up much on taste.
With that being said there are a bunch of travel friendly coffee drippers that address this point exactly! Check out the Miir Pourigami Travel Dripper ;)

TRAVEL COFFEE MAKING TIPS

WHAT REALLY MATTERS
Learn MoreWhe making coffee on the go you need something lightweight, compact and easy to carry. Making espresso or filter coffee can be done but usually requires more stuff to carry compared to an independant coffee press system like the AeroPress or Wacaco Prestina.

WHAT YOU DON'T NEED TO BRING
Learn MoreThe best thing to first figure out before buying any travel coffee gear is deciding on what not to bring. Be super selective with what you don't have to bring, if you're just doing a day trip you probably don't need to bring along a grinder on most occasions. Grinding fresh does make a difference but is it worth 1 coffee? Probablly not.

TRAVEL LIGHT
Titanium Coffee GearWhen weight matters but you don't want to give up on good coffee our range of Titanium Travel Coffee Gear comes in handy.
Titanium is strong, durable, lightweight and completly innert so your coffee doesn't get any strong 'metalic' tastes in the cup. -
WHERE TO START?
Contact usThe first place we recommend starting is to work out what types of coffee you are trying to make, write this down along with your constraints, do you need it to be lightweight? are you going to be flying with it? will you have access to hot water? are you going to bring a coffee grinder or coffee grounds?
This then points you in the right direction, still need help answer these questions and send them to us! We're always happy to help :)
The Waco Prestina replaces my Aeropress of many years. No more fiddlng with paper, no more getting scaled by trying the upside-down method. It allows the coffee to steep as long as we want. The permanent mesh is fixed, easily clean and delivers a pure, non-gritty cup of coffee. Use the attached cup, or pour it into your favorite mug. This was a massive re-thinking of a weaker concept. I love the Prestina.
Better than Aeropress
