Kettle Buying Guide

In this topic we will be doing some Kettle-Comparisons, we understand that the world of coffee brewing kettles can be time consuming and confusing, so we have put together this guide that we hope will turn a long process into a quick and easy one.

To offer a fair comparison we will only discuss the kettles we currently stock and will compare them to each other regardless of any other kettles on the market, So all comparisons are relative to these kettle only.

Please keep in mind that we ultimately want you to be happy with your purchase and this topic's main focus is to help you weigh up all the nitty gritty features of these kettles to give you the best understanding of which is most suitable for you.

Stovetop vs Electric

The very first variable to consider is whether a stovetop or an electric kettle is more suitable.

Electric kettles are great because they fit perfectly in a kitchen/cafe with bench space, they have an electric base, they tend to have all the features you will ever need and are perfect for spacious environments.

Stove top kettles are great for smaller bench spaces, they usually have the main essential features an electric kettle has but at a lower price. Some stovetop kettles have a thermometer built-in so that you can still have control over your water temperature.

Whats important to you?

The second thing to consider is price and value. If you are on a bare bones budget most times a stove top kettle is the way to go, there are many costs that go in to an electric kettle such as circuit boards and heating elements that bump the price up, in saying so depending on the kettle you may compromise on some of the features that an electric kettle can offer.
