We were lucky enough to receive a pre-production unit of the Cocinare Essence Go B38 Pro, we were asked to test, review and share our thoughts.
After testing out this grinder for about a month we brewed both espresso and pour over using this grinder and used it daily prior to writing this article.
It's safe to say that we were blown away by this grinder. For an incredibly low price of just $79USD (around $116AUD) you receive a high quality grinder capable of grinding for espresso and filter coffee, a hard carry case, hardened stainless steel 38mm burrs, a magnetic catch cup and so much more.
The first most noticeable feature of this grinder is it's body shape, this is designed to fit nicely in your hands and doubles as a funnel helping your beans easily feed into your coffee grinder.
As well as this there is a massive void where the axle sits and the internal support structure is almost unnoticeable, the only component that takes up space inside the grinder body is the head of the axle.
The Cocinare Essence Go B38 Pro Grinder has a huge range of grind sizes, you with up to 80 different grind size positions this grinder is easily able to accomodate grinding for espresso, pour over coffee, cold brew and cupping. Each grind size adjustment is the equivalent to 25 microns this means that 1 click on the Cocinare Essence Go is equal to 25 microns or the equivalent of 0.025mm.
