Making the Viral Spring Onion Latte

Recently we heard news of a viral spring onion latte trending in China.
With reports of the drink having a favourable silky texture, reluctantly we put it to the test and tried it for ourselves.
How to Make Onion Coffee
Making this drink is fairly simple, essentially you are adding spring onions to an iced latte. Here's how we did it:
- Chop up a hand full of spring onions.
- Place these in a cup / glass of your choice.
- Add 3-5 small sized Iced cubes followed by your milk of choice.
- Finally add your double espresso on top and give it a quick stir.
How does Spring Onion Coffee Taste?
This was not fun to drink. When it comes to previous strange coffee combos we've tried such as the orange juice coffee I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the Spring Onion Latte had a slippery texture and an unsettling crunch.
I imagined this was going to have a taste similar to a boba tea but this was not the case.
Try this for yourself however I won't be drinking this ever again.
