Brewing Reusable Cotton Aji Filters On The Fellow Aiden
Share this article
If you aren't already aware, we have another company called Aji Filter. We design and manufacture reusable cotton coffee filters made from an incredibly high quality hand-loomed cotton. This cotton is sourced through a social enterprise in Bihar where the profits from the cotton go back into building communities in the region.
But this isn't the main selling point for our filters, it's the taste. Aji Filters have this unique textural element to them with an added creaminess that makes washed coffee pop and adds depth to your natural processed coffees.
We have been developing a Trapezoid filter for quite some time and seeing as we've recently fallen in love with the Fellow Aiden Precision Brewer, we thought why not make a reusable cotton coffee filter designed to fit the 1-2 cup green basket?

Brewing with the Aji Filter on the Fellow Aiden:
The Fellow Aiden is one of the most technologically advanced batch brew coffee maker.
You will need:
- Fellow Aiden Precision Batch Brew Coffee Maker
- Aji Trapezoid Filter No.1
- 20g Filter Roast Coffee Beans
- Coffee Grinder (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare your Fellow Aiden by inserting the thermos into the slot and add your Aji Trapezoid Filter into the Green basket. Run plenty of water through the filter over a sink and press the bottom of the basket to open the valve, this will help set the Aji Filter into place and allow the cloth to flow into the folds of the basket walls.
- Add your 20g of filter roast coffee to the Aji Filter and Basket, if you have a coffee grinder aim for a pour over grind size on the finer side.
- Set the Fellow Aiden to the Green small coffee shower screen and close the lid. Create your own recipe or use the suggested recipe below and press play.
