Pai Mu Tan Peony White Tea
This white Peony is a classic example of white tea from Fujian Province and is very popular in China and world wide, this tea is made from one bud and two leaves and is picked, dried and bagged with out any further processing.
Once picked and dried the farmers set out the tea leaves to dry either indoors or naturally outdoors. Due to the lack of processing the leaves have beautiful green, brown, black and even silvery white tips spread out through the tea.
This tea is Camellia, Sinensis and was grown and processed in Fujian Province, China.
Brewing this tea in a Gaiwan or Teapot we recommend using 2-5g and water at around 80-90ºc
Tasting notes:
White Peony tastes sweet and mellow, with low bitterness and very sweet honey-like aftertaste. Along with floral and slight vegetative / grassy flavour. This white tea can be served with milk however we strongly recommend having this one without ;)
